US Lifesaving Service pennant
![Picture](/uploads/1/1/2/2/11221212/editor/2020-02-13-15-58-53.jpg?1581665079)
This is the historic flag of the US Life-Saving Service and is made by Prestige Flag as well. It has the same high quality as the White Star Line above. I'm very impressed with how this flag was made. The base is a single white pennant and the blue and red material were added to both sides. So the colored portions of the flag are actually triple nylon thick! This is a heavy well made flag with a high attention to detail.
Two flag sizes are available:

We took the iconic British poster made during WWII and made one with an American spin! I had a few of these made by a company in NC as I usually make historic flags but I wanted to do my part to encourage and motivate neighbors to keep calm and stay positive during this trying time. Banner is 11.5" by 19.5". A sewn sleeve is 1" wide and can accept any banner type pole (does not come with the flag).
Don't have a garden flag pole? No problem! Just a few pieces of tape and you can attach it to your window. Or pass a piece of rope or wood dowel through the sleeve. Take it to work and hang in your office. We donated a few to our local hospitals and they put it up in the ER. There are multiple ways to display the flag.
Outdoor or indoor use.
Material is considered "Super-Polynex" which is a woven polyester type material. But it is not the traditional cheep polyester material. It really looks more like a nylon blend. Solid construction with sewn edges. Don't worry about the quality, I will never sell cheap flags.
Free shipping in the USA! I ship from Virginia and will get your flag out in the mail for the next pick up.
Please note that this includes the flag only. The picture of the banner on the pole is just an example only. Any garden, home, or online store will sell a "garden banner pole" for only a few dollars.
This is a one time order and these flags won't be in stock after they sell out.

White Star Line
![Picture](/uploads/1/1/2/2/11221212/4341453.jpg?209)
I've been selling these flags since 2012 and they are my most popular flag! Originally made in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the maiden voyage and sinking of the RMS TITANIC. These high quality flags are made of heavy duty nylon and are made to last. They are produced using an applique (cut and sewn design) construction. Flags are made of 400 denier nylon weave whereas most flags normally use 100 or 200 denier nylon or cheap polyester. You can certainly tell the thickness difference of these flags compared to others. The header is woven polypropylene webbing (not lightweight canvas) with #3 spur grommets. The flags are double sided. They are also treated with a special ultraviolet inhibitor to prevent fading from sunlight and a polyurethane coating is applied to protect and seal threads. Additionally, each flag has an anti-microbial coating that helps prevent mildewing from excess moisture. These extra steps increase durability and lifespan of our flags. For the edges of the flag, a separate binding using a similar sewing method for sails (zigzag stitch) is applied to the edges to increase longevity. Most other flags simply fold over the edge which leaves the raw edge to fray on the back. The fly end of the flag is extra reinforced with thick edges and stitching. Compare these flags to others and you will be very impressed. These flags are made by Prestige Flags in San Diego and they specialize in golf and nautical flags (so they are made to high standards to survive those harsh environments).
Cunard Line
![Picture](/uploads/1/1/2/2/11221212/1429223187.png)
This flag is the historic (not current) house flag of Cunard Line. The design goes back to the early history of the company in the late 1800s. It was in use for many years and flown above the White Star Line flag when the two companies merged. Cunard has since changed their house flag a few years ago and now uses a similar design with a crest and crown. In honor of their 175th Anniversary and in memory of the 100th Anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Lusitania, I was proud to bring this great flag back to life. Only 25 of these flags were made.
- This modern reproduction flag is made of dyed 200d nylon (not polyester) with a canvas header and grommets.
- The top and bottom of the flag has two rows of stitching.
- The end (fly) has four rows of stitching.
- Dye penetrates completely through the nylon material.
2nd Pennsylvania Regiment
![Picture](/uploads/1/1/2/2/11221212/5612544.jpg?226)
The flag of the 2nd PA, like most Revolutionary War flags, is based more on tradition than historic accuracy. The original flag does not exist. The flag was painted in the background of the commander of the unit but is too small to make out much of the details. Edward W. Richardson in his book, "Standards and Colors of the American Revolution" concluded that the image on the flag was a rattlesnake which was a common design of the period. A scroll like image below the snake is much too small to have any writing on it. Richardson believed it might say "Don't Tread on Me" but the flag used by the reenactors of the current 2nd PA placed the regiment's name on it. We will probably never know what the flag looked like but our recreation is fairly consistent with period flags. This modern flag is made of dyed nylon with a canvas header and grommets. Four rows of stitching is on the fly end as well. This flag is not available anywhere else and would make an excellent addition to your historic collection. Be sure to check out the modern 2nd PA Regiment on our links page!
43rd Regiment of Foot
![Picture](/uploads/1/1/2/2/11221212/1864820.jpg?203)
In contrast to the flag of the 2nd PA Regiment, British regimental flags were fairly consistent with regulations. Each British regiment carried two colors: a King's Colors (a national flag) and the regimental flag. The flag here is the regimental flag of the 43rd Regiment of Foot, a British regiment that fought in the Revolutionary War. The canton of regimental flags consisted of the King's Colors (combined flag of England and Scotland) with the field of the flag the color of the facings on the uniforms of the unit. The 43rd had white facings. Units with white or black facings had the red Cross of St. George as well. In the center of the regimental flag was the name of the unit in the middle of roses (for England) and thistles (Scotland). This modern flag is made of dyed nylon with a canvas header and grommets. Four rows of stitching is on the fly end as well. This flag is not available anywhere else and the detail is amazing. The size of my flag is not the common 2' x 3' or 3' x 5'. I kept the proportions mostly square to be consistent with flags used by the British land forces during the Revolutionary War. Be sure to check out the modern 43rd Regiment (who just so happens to be the same unit that reenact the 2nd PA Regiment!) on our links page!
Liberty Flag
![Picture](/uploads/1/1/2/2/11221212/1411784660.png)
One of my newest and most popular flags! I'm proud to bring another great historical flag back to life. This flag is a representation of the many defaced British Red Ensigns used in the time up to the start of the Revolution. These protest flags had various words or symbols sewn onto the traditional British maritime flag. In Taunton, MA, they used a flag with "Liberty and Union" on it. My flag simply has the word "Liberty" in a more historical font. The Liberty flag is more general and has associations with various events in other colonies, especially Georgia and New York (see Huntington Flag below). This flag is silk-screened in Nylon with canvas heading. Two rows of stitching are on the top and bottom and four rows are on the fly end. Colors are bright on both sides due to the silk-screening process.
