We are very proud to have been selected by Cobh Golf Club in Ireland to supply flags for their "Titanic 100 Golf Classic" to honor the memory of the ship. Titanic last called in Queenstown (now known as Cobh) before heading out to the North Atlantic. Our flags flew on the pole outside their clubhouse as well as the 10th hole.
From our flag supplier representative: "I have to share something with you! I went to the Titanic exhibit at the ---- Museum. At the end of the exhibit, you are led into the gift shop, which I found myself facing a White Star Line burgee. They were selling these phony things cheap. The white did not look white and the stitching was terrible! I couldn't believe it and found myself laughing aloud. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your project. It made me appreciate our product even more and felt proud knowing I had the opportunity to work with you in creating something far superior."
I have seen those flags in person and they are really cheap! The material is very thin and it is not really designed to be flown outside. The grommets are actually too small to even use with a flagpole clip! Furthermore, the shape of the flag is not accurate as to the ones flown during the White Star Line's existence.

I donated one of our flags to the San Diego Maritime Museum to be used in their commemoration of TITANIC's maiden voyage. If you are in the San Diego area, you really need to see this amazing museum. They have a great collection of tall ships, including the STAR OF INDIA - the world's oldest ship still sailed! And don't forget to sign up for sail on the tall ship CALIFORNIAN.
From a customer in the UK: "I am a collector of Titanic memorabilia and this is without a doubt the most beautiful and well made White Star Pennant I've seen. They are really well made and beautiful flags."
From a customer related to Sir Bertram Fox Hayes (see our Blog entry today): "Thank you for offering these White Star flags. I'm a retired Coast Guard Senior Chief Boatswain and am pleased to do business with another military member. I am looking to purchase three of the smaller flags and one large flag for my den. The smaller ones will be flown on my 32' ketch. I had one that was purchased several years ago, from a company no longer in business. I fly the burgee to amuse my cousins and also a friend whose aunt survived the Titanic sinking. I've been looking for a replacement for quite awhile as the old one is beginning to fade."
"Just received the flags yesterday. They are of superb quality, much better than the old flag we've been flying. I'm sure they'll hold up and be proud for years. Thanks again for recreating these White Star flags. Also thank you and your family for your continued service."

From Alabama: "Thank you for making these available. I'm a Titanic buff, and I've wanted a White Star Line flag for 20+ years."

"I received my flag through the post yesterday morning and I just wanted to thank you once again for shipping to the UK. It's an absolutely beautiful flag and the workmanship is just outstanding. More than anything however, thank YOU for your courtesy and kindness; I wish all ebayers gave service like you!"
